Yes Studios, the Israeli distributor, has significantly expanded its European footprint by securing three major scripted format deals with leading producers in Germany and France for its popular titles Bloody Murray, Who Died?, and Significant Other.

In Germany, the romantic comedy Bloody Murray is set to be adapted by Hager Moss Films (part of the Constantin Film group), while the oncology-themed dramedy Who Died? will be tailored for German audiences by Banijay’s MadeFor Film. Meanwhile, the award-winning series Significant Other, which previously saw a successful UK adaptation on ITVX, is heading to France through a partnership between Babylone Hills and Screenline Productions.

Highlighting the global appeal of Israeli storytelling, Sharon Levi, Managing Director of yes Studios, noted that the universal themes and nuanced characters of their local comedies are driving this international traction.

This success is backed by the Tracking the Scripted Giants report, which ranks Israel as the world’s third-largest format exporter for the 2024/25 period, following only South Korea and the UK. Looking ahead, the company is already evaluating international adaptation potential for its more recent comedy launches, including Little Fucker and Brewing Trouble.
