Twice Over is a new Australian romantic comedy starring Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Heaton. The film follows two people whose unexpected reunion stirs long-buried emotions and prompts them to question time, life and the possibility of starting over.
The film is directed by Alena Lodkina, who co-wrote the screenplay with Miles Allinson. Producers include Never/Sleep Pictures, WBMC and Mid-March Media.
Athens-based sales company Heretic will introduce Twice Over to buyers at next month’s European Film Market (EFM). Production took place entirely in Fremantle, Australia, with post-production currently underway in Poland.
The project received support from Screen Australia, Screenwest and Lotterywest, alongside the MIFF Premiere Fund. Bonsai will handle Australian distribution.
Heretic’s EFM slate also includes Berlinale titles Trial of Hein and Dust.
