Last year, sexual assault allegations were made against Neil Gaiman, the British author known for The Sandman comic book series and novels such as American Gods, Good Omens, and Norse Mythology. Following these allegations, numerous projects based on Neil Gaiman’s works were cancelled one after another, and agreements with Neil Gaiman were suspended.

Netflix’s The Sandman series was one of the productions affected by these decisions. The Sandman, which is available on Netflix, is preparing to conclude with its second season.

The cast of The Sandman Season 2 includes Tom Sturridge, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Mason Alexander Park, Donna Preston, Esmé Creed-Miles, Adrian Lester, Barry Sloane, Patton Oswalt, Vivienne Acheampong, Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Coleman, Ferdinand Kingsley, and Stephen Fry.

The season is scheduled to meet with the audience in two parts. The first 6 episodes will be added to the Netflix library on 3 July, and the remaining episodes will be available on 24 July. On 31 July, a bonus episode will be released.

The official description for the final season reads, “After a fateful reunion with his family, Dream of the Endless (Tom Sturridge) must face one impossible decision after another as he attempts to save himself, his kingdom, and the waking world from the epic fallout of his past misdeeds. To make amends, Dream must confront longtime friends and foes, gods, monsters, and mortals. But the path to forgiveness is full of unexpected twists and turns, and true absolution may cost Dream everything. Based on the beloved award-winning DC comic series, the second season of ‘The Sandman’ will tell Dream’s story arc in full to its thrilling conclusion.”

Furthermore, the new season will be based on The Sandman’s famous chapters such as “Season of Mists,” “Brief Lives,” “The Kindly Ones,” and “The Sandman: Overture”. In addition, story arcs of “Tales in the Sand,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “The Song of Orpheus,” “Thermidor,” and “The Tempest” are also included in the new season.
