Filming has officially begun for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth solo Spider-Man movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). British actor Tom Holland shared behind-the-scenes shots on Instagram, giving fans their first look at Spider-Man’s new suit. Production is taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, with parts of the city transformed into the streets of New York.

A joint production between Marvel Studios and Sony, Brand New Day serves as a direct sequel to 2021’s No Way Home, where Peter Parker’s identity was erased from everyone’s memory. That film explored the multiverse and brought back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

The newly revealed suit worn by Holland pays homage to the character’s classic look. In addition, it was recently announced that Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, marking his first appearance as the character since the 2022 Disney+ miniseries She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

The cast also includes Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, while Michael Mando returns as Scorpion, one of Spider-Man’s iconic villains, last seen in No Way Home.

Another new face is Stranger Things star Sadie Sink, though her role is still unclear.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
