The Apple TV+ series Severance has proved to be one of the most unique works in the last few years. Particularly praised by fans of sci-fi and dystopian fiction, Severance Season 2 was among the most anticipated TV productions of 2025. Consequently, the third season and potential spin-offs are already in the works.

Ben Stiller, one of the creators of Severance, has commented on these potential spin-offs in a recent interview. The famous comedian, director, and producer confirmed that there are ongoing plans to expand the Severance universe.

“There are two specific ideas — that I won’t tell you — that we’ve talked about internally as possible spinoff ideas.” Stiller said, and added that it would “be great to have a Severance video game.” However, Stiller has refrained from making a comment on which development stage the spin-offs are in or whether they have been discussed with Apple, and just said that the ideas are “nascent”.

Following these statements, the fans have started to speculate which characters these spin-off projects will focus on. For now, many are focusing on ‘Irving Baliff’ portrayed by the famous actor John Turturro. Irving has left his team at Lumon at the end of season 2 and embarked on a different journey. So, it is unclear if he will return in the third season of the series.

Additionally, the new characters introduced in the second season, such as “Mark W.”, “Gwendolyn Y.”, and “Dario R.”, are also being discussed for these possible spin-off projects. The release date for Severance Season 3 has not been confirmed yet.
