Ayşıl Özmen, Digital Platform Production Management Director at OGM Pictures, emphasized that Series Mania offers a more intimate and efficient networking environment compared to other international industry events.
What distinguishes Series Mania from other international events for OGM?
This is not my first experience at events like this. Compared to others, this one offers a more intimate and smaller-scale environment. At other events, schedules tend to be very intense, you’re constantly rushing from one meeting to another. Of course, that also has its own advantages, but here, the meetings we have and the people we meet feel more productive.
Conversations are more genuine, people are more relaxed, and it feels like there’s more time for everyone. This strengthens the connections being built. For example, through Korea Contact Highlights, we had the opportunity to meet with various production companies. The meetings were very natural and productive.
Even before arriving, many people reached out to us after seeing our name and expressed interest in meeting. This clearly shows the level of interest in what we are doing and in Turkish drama.
What kind of projects are currently attracting international attention, and how are OGM’s existing titles and new developments being received in the global market?
There is also a strong and ongoing interest in OGM’s previous hit series such as The Innocents and Chrysalis, which continue to resonate with international partners.
Strong characters, family dynamics, and the underlying secrets of a story, combined with the chemistry created by the actors, resonate powerfully with audiences. This is also what makes our new project Deep in Love particularly exciting for international audiences.
It’s very exciting to see how a well-presented project can resonate in different countries. Personally, I would love to watch an Italian adaptation of Deep in Love.
