In our interview at Series Mania with Ayşıl Özmen, Digital Platform Production Management Director at OGM Pictures, the importance of the event’s creative environment, international collaborations, and connections with industry professionals came to the forefront.
How would you evaluate your Series Mania experience as OGM? What has the environment and the event contributed to you?
As a team, we are already working in Türkiye with similar structures, so this kind of system feels quite familiar to me. Here, I believe there is both a creative process and a strong collaborative environment.
When we try to solve each other’s challenges and share what we are doing in our own fields, a highly productive process emerges. Sometimes, simply realizing that someone else is experiencing the same issue makes you feel better. You think, ‘So this is a common challenge,’ or ‘This is how success can be achieved.’ This adds significant creative value.
How do you think this more intimate and collaborative environment at Series Mania will contribute to the international journey of OGM’s projects?
The sincere and dynamic atmosphere is also very important. There are more participants than I expected. Accessibility is easy, and it’s very simple to connect with people. You can even arrange meetings spontaneously without much planning.
The panels have been one of my favorite parts. Even though I’ve only attended for a few days, I find them highly focused and rich in content. Listening to the insights of highly valuable industry mentors, as well as how they approach their own challenges, is incredibly meaningful.
Overall, when I look at the bigger picture, I feel that this experience is truly productive and that it will lead to strong outcomes.
