‘Şahmaran’ was Watched More Than 83 Million Hours in the First Half of the Year

The Netflix series “Şahmaran“, the production of which was undertaken by TIMS&B Productions and produced by Timur Savcı and Burak Sağyaşar, was one of the most watched local content in the world with more than 83 million hours of viewing in the first six months of the year.

According to the report, in which Netflix announced the viewing rates of the series and films on the platform for the first time, the first season of “Şahmaran” aroused interest in all countries where it was broadcast simultaneously with Turkey. “Şahmaran” made a rapid entry into Netflix’s global list of non-English language series in the first week of its release, and quickly rose to second place with 33 million 960 thousand viewing hours.

The cast of “Şahmaran”, starring Serenay Sarıkaya and Burak Deniz, includes Mustafa Uğurlu, Mert Ramazan Demir, Mahir Günşiray, Ebru Özkan, Hakan Karahan, Nilay Erdönmez, Nil Sude Albayrak and Berfu Halisdemir. Directed by Umur Turagay and written by Pınar Bulut, the second season of “Şahraman” will meet with the audience in 2024.
