Prime Video has announced that its global hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty will wrap up with a feature film written and directed by Jenny Han. While plot details remain under wraps, the surprise reveal was made at the red carpet event for the show’s series finale in Paris, France.

Courtenay Valenti, head of Film, Streaming, and Theatrical at Amazon MGM Studios, said: “The Summer I Turned Pretty has struck a chord with audiences everywhere, creating moments of joy, nostalgia, and connection that have made it a global sensation.”

Season 3 reached 25 million viewers worldwide within its first seven days and ranked as Prime Video’s fifth most-watched series. The show’s first season, which premiered in the summer of 2022, debuted as Prime Video’s #1 series during its launch week. The second season, released in 2023, doubled the viewership of Season 1 within just three days.
