The first trailer for the fifth and final season of The Boys has been released.
The series will premiere with two episodes on Prime Video on April 8, before concluding its run with the series finale on May 20.
In the trailer, Homelander (Antony Starr) hints that he has a “greater destiny” ahead of him as he begins searching for V1, the original version of Compound V, which could grant him immortality. To prepare for his rise, Homelander also brings back his father Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), expanding his plans for total dominance.
Meanwhile, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) is ready to deploy a deadly virus capable of wiping out every Supe on the planet. Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso) and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) appear to be imprisoned in a so-called “Freedom Camp,” while Annie / Starlight (Erin Moriarty) attempts to organize a resistance against the overwhelming Supe regime. Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) is notably missing in the trailer, hinting at major developments for her character.

The upcoming season will also feature a notable reunion from the long-running series Supernatural, as Jared Padalecki joins creator Eric Kripke and former co-stars Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins, bringing together several key figures from the beloved fantasy drama in a highly anticipated crossover moment for fans.
Since its debut in 2019, The Boys has become one of Prime Video’s most successful original series, widely praised for its dark satire, graphic action and sharp commentary on celebrity culture, politics and corporate power. The show has consistently received strong reviews from critics and audiences alike, and has helped expand the franchise with spin-offs such as Gen V and the animated anthology The Boys Presents: Diabolical.
As the story heads toward its conclusion, the final season promises an all-out confrontation between Supes and humans; a battle that could reshape the world of The Boys forever.
