Following its record-breaking debut, Guy Ritchie’s MobLand quickly became the most successful series launch in Paramount+ history and ranks as the platform’s second most-watched series overall. Now, the hit show has officially been renewed for a second season.
The future og the show was uncertain after its season finale on June 1, but that ambiguity has now been resolved. The finale, which drew in over 26 million viewers, concluded a season that captivated audiences worldwide.

Starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Paddy Considine, MobLand follows the ruthless Harrigan crime family and their loyal enforcer, Harry Da Souza (Hardy), as they navigate dangerous alliances and mounting pressure from both law enforcement and rival gangs in their fight to maintain control over London’s criminal underworld.
Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount and President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment, praised the series’ success:
“With more than 26 million viewers and climbing, MobLand has become a resounding triumph – driven by the creative brilliance of Guy, Jez, Ronan and David Glasser, and brought to life by the powerhouse performances of Tom, Pierce, and Helen,” said Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount and President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment. “We are elated to greenlight a second season of this global phenomenon, which has dominated both domestic and international charts and soared to #1 in the UK.”

Originally greenlit in February 2024, MobLand began as a British reinterpretation of Showtime’s Ray Donovan. However, during development, it evolved into a standalone series with its own unique narrative, independent of the original show.
