On MIPCOM 2025‘s third day, we got together with Ekin Koyuncu, Global Distribution & Partnership Director at OGM UNIVERSE, to hear the company’s thoughts on this year’s edition. In the interview, Koyuncu has highlighted their new series, Reborn and Deep in Love, as well as the second seasons of the hit series 6 of Us and The Fall of the King.

How was MIPCOM 2025 for OGM UNIVERSE?

It was a very intensive time for us with all the meetings. We were highly satisfied. The schedules of our sales colleagues across all regions were quite full.

Furthermore, we had a fantastic press conference, moderated by Oben Budak, Editor-in-Chief of Episode Magazine, with the attendance of the actors and directors of three of our series. Afterward, we held a cocktail event on Tuesday evening, which was very enjoyable. It was very productive for us.

OGM UNIVERSE

Which contents did you highlight at MIPCOM 2025? What can you say about these contents?

Firstly, we have titles returning for their second seasons: 6 of Us and The Fall of the King. A series completing its first season significantly increases its sales potential in some territories. Therefore, having these series here with their second seasons was extremely valuable, and we signed new sales and marked progress.

In addition, we have two new series, one of which is Reborn, airing on Star TV on Sundays. Reborn has an incredibly strong cast and a universal story. Only five episodes have aired, so it’s a very new project. Thus, MIPCOM 2025 was the first time we had the opportunity to personally introduce the series to our clients from all corners of the world.

Similarly, as OGM Pictures, we started promoting our new series, Deep in Love, which airs on TRT on Fridays. The series, with only one episode aired so far, is a story of unfulfilled love set in the magnificent lands and nature of the Black Sea. It is a powerful love story, like Romeo and Juliet, trying to survive amidst the long-standing feud between two families.

We will want the characters to be together, but their union is so impossible due to external factors that our hearts will be truly broken while watching, I think. The visual world created in the series is very stylish and mystical, and we are receiving very positive feedback about this production. Our international clients were very impressed with the story, the cast and acting, and the locations where the series was shot.

Furthermore, we continue negotiations with territories where sales have not yet been finalized for completed series from our library, including Lost in Love, Broken Destiny, Stickman, and Miracle of Love.
