Micro-Drama Production Company Shorties Studios Launches with Executives Kelly Luegenbiehl, Jon Koa and Onur Güvenatam at the Helm

Kelly Luegenbiehl, Jon Koa and Onur Güvenatam have joined forces to launch Shorties Studios, a new global production company with a bold vision to redefine the future of storytelling.

With operations spanning Los Angeles, London and Istanbul, the heart of Shorties Studios’ mission is to produce commercial mobile-first short-form vertical video series for entertainment fans all around the world.

The studio will be producing for subscription streaming and social media platforms, as well as ad-supported branded content in this exciting and rapidly growing new medium.

The company executives, who bring a wealth of industry experience spanning Netflix, NBC, CBS, Condé Nast and ABC, created Shorties Studios in a direct response to the evolution of media consumption. The new venture will specifically focus its efforts around direct-to-consumer content for short-form hungry audiences.

Kelly Luegenbiehl said “When I left legacy media 10 years ago to pioneer International content for Netflix, no one could have imagined the impact non-English language content would have on the world, transforming TV consumption as we know it. Today, I see that same potential with Vertical content. We want to meet audiences where they are and once again help shape the next evolution of storytelling with Vertical Premium Generated Content (PGC). Verticals are the moment!”
