Kit Harington’s first film as a director will screen at the Manchester Film Festival, which takes place from March 19–29, 2026.
The festival lineup includes 52 feature-length films, with nine UK premieres and eight world premieres.
Kit Harington makes his directorial debut with the short film Psychopomp. The film follows a man who wants to end his life and develops a dark relationship with the assassin he hires. Harry Melling stars in the film.
Standout titles in the program include Erupcja, Rose of Nevada, and The Souffleur.
The festival will also screen films from the 2025 festival circuit by acclaimed directors such as Jim Jarmusch, Alice Winocour, and László Nemes.
Festival director Neil Jeram-Croft describes the 2026 edition as “the biggest and most ambitious year in the festival’s history.”
The program also features documentaries alongside a broad selection of short films.
