Inter Medya, one of Türkiye’s leading content production and distribution companies, has entered a strategic co-production alliance with Rise Studios, a media and entertainment company building a collaborative ecosystem for world-class storytelling across the Middle East and North Africa.

For more than three decades, Inter Medya has played an important role in the international rise of Turkish drama, both as a distributor and as an early pioneer of cross-border co-productions With a mission to champion creative entrepreneurs and culturally resonant narratives, Rise Studios has rapidly emerged as a distinctive force in the MENA region, delivering acclaimed projects across film and series.

Together, the two companies aim to expand the global reach of high-quality scripted content.

Under the agreement, the partners will co-produce the premium Turkish drama Caged Love (Tutsak Sevda). Production is scheduled to begin in January 2026, with casting and the international rollout strategy currently in development. Inter Medya will serve as executive producer and will oversee global distribution.

Caged Love (Tutsak Sevda) tells the compelling story of a young woman who, falsely accused and forced to flee, adopts another’s identity to protect a little girl who has no one else. Drawn into the world of a powerful family, she finds herself living a life built on borrowed truths. The distant and guarded man of the house keeps her at arm’s length, until the walls between suspicion and attraction begin to crumble. But as love grows in the shadow of her greatest secret, she must choose between the life she has taken on and the love she never expected to find.

The project reflects both companies’ ambition to develop globally appealing, emotionally rich drama from the ground up, aligning creative and commercial vision at every stage to build content designed for international success.

“We are excited to launch this strategic partnership with Rise Studios. Our shared vision and commitment to creating content with true global reach give us full confidence that this collaboration will produce a high-caliber project. This co-investment marks an important step in strengthening our joint capacity to develop premium, globally competitive productions.” said Can Okan, Founder & CEO, Inter Medya.
