Content Americas 2025, one of the most important content markets in LATAM, hosted Globo’s 100th-year anniversary today (January 21). Hosted by Brazilian actress Sophie Charlotte, the event featured key discussions and presentations.
During the event, Manuel Belmar, Chief of Globoplay and CFO, along with Angela Colla, Head of International Business and Co-productions at Globo, took the stage. Colla highlighted the company’s major successes, including the globally acclaimed telenovela Brazil Avenue, which has captivated audiences worldwide and is now available for streaming on Prime Video across all LATAM countries, except Brazil. The series was also adapted in Türkiye by Ay Yapım under the title Leyla and is distributed by Madd Entertainment.
The company also introduced its latest hit, She’s the One, generating interest among industry professionals and content buyers. The company continues to strengthen its presence in the region by expanding its diverse content portfolio.
In addition, the company presented its first feature film, I’m Still Here, which has received multiple award nominations, including a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Dramatic Film, an Oscar shortlist recognition, and the Best Original Screenplay award at the Venice Festival.
Globo also announced that Globoplay, its streaming platform, now boasts over 100 original titles and has become the second most-watched streaming platform in Brazil.
