Filming for Red Roses Season 2, one of last season’s top-rated series, has started.
Produced by Gold Film, Red Roses season 2 began with scenes featuring Erkan Avcı as Sadi Hüdayi, Selen Öztürk as his wife Hasna Güneş, and Zehra Kelleci as their daughter Feyza. The series is expected to debut on Monday, September 30th.

Red Roses tells the poignant story of Meryem, who was married off at the age of 14 within an Islamic sect. Now, she is fiercely fighting to prevent her daughter Zeynep from suffering the same fate as the bride of the sheikh’s grandson, Cüneyd.
As Meryem struggles to protect her daughter, they embark on a tumultuous journey filled with tension and romance, where conservative and progressive beliefs collide. The sheikh, seeking a morally pure bride for Cüneyd, views Zeynep as an ideal candidate, much to Meryem’s horror. Desperate for help, Meryem turns to her sister-in-law, a former Koran teacher who was expelled from the sect. Fearing the sect’s power, they avoid official complaints and decide that fleeing is their only option.
Meryem must first earn money, taking a job as a carer for the paralyzed father of Levent, a psychiatrist with secular beliefs who opposes arranged marriages and is eager to help. Meanwhile, Meryem faces cruelty from her husband, who not only wants to marry off their daughter but is also seeking a second wife for himself.
As Meryem and Levent grow closer emotionally, they are hit with a shocking revelation: Levent’s daughter is actually Zeynep’s twin, thought to have died at birth. This discovery threatens to plunge their lives into even deeper turmoil.
