The first trailer for Deliver Me from Nowhere (Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere) has been released. The film stars Jeremy Allen White, best known for his Emmy-winning lead role in The Bear, as legendary musician Bruce Springsteen.
Produced by 20th Century Studios, the film is one of 2025’s most anticipated musical biopics. It focuses on the creation of Nebraska, Springsteen’s cult-favorite 1982 album, which he recorded by himself in his New Jersey bedroom using a 4-track recorder. The album reflects themes of working-class struggles and existential crisis, and has traces of Springsteen’s childhood. Thus, it is considered to be one of the most personal works of the artist.
Based on the book by Warren Zanes, who also wrote the screenplay, the film is directed by Scott Cooper. Cooper has described the film as:
“The experience felt like a journey through memory, myth, and truth. And more than anything, it was a privilege to translate that raw emotional honesty to the screen, and in doing so, it changed me.”
The film also stars Jeremy Strong as longtime Springsteen manager Jon Landau, alongside Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young, Gaby Hoffman, Marc Maron, and David Krumholtz.
Deliver Me from Nowhere, which recounts a melancholic inner journey in Springsteen’s life, will be released in theaters on October 24, 2025.
