Actor Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu, who was taken into custody yesterday morning (April 2, 2025) for sharing a post supporting the boycott on social media, has been released under judicial control. He’s now required to sign in twice a month and is banned from leaving the country.

Speaking after his release, Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu stated:
“There’s nothing more we can do other than remind people of their constitutional rights. Within those rights, we are free to protest, to march, and to express our opinions. And we will continue to be free. If there’s an obstacle to that, we will keep fighting against it.”
He also shared a post on his X and Instagram accounts, saying: “We will not be silent. We are not afraid. We will not obey.”
