Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker has confirmed that the series is coming back.
The announcement came after Season 7’s first Golden Globe recognition, including a nomination for Best Limited or Anthology Series. Rashida Jones and Paul Giamatti received acting nominations for their performances in the Season 7 episodes “Common People” and “Eulogy.”
Brooker commented on both of the episodes, calling “Common People” the “distilled essence of Black Mirror” and describing “Eulogy” as one of his favorite episodes.
Brooker assured viewers that the series’ future is secure and the new season will be “more Black Mirror than ever,” however, no release date was revealed.
Brooker confirmed he is also developing a new Netflix series, described as a serious crime thriller, unrelated to the famous series.
