Banijay Entertainment has confirmed merger discussions with All3Media owner RedBird IMI.
RedBird IMI is led by former CNN president Jeff Zucker and backed by Abu Dhabi royal Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. RedBird IMI acquired All3Media in 2024 for £1.15 billion.
The discussions are at a preliminary, pre-negotiation stage, with no final decision or agreement reached so far. If completed, the merger would create a European production powerhouse with annual revenues of around $6.65 billion.
Banijay Entertainment CEO Marco Bassetti and All3Media CEO Jane Turton are expected to remain in their leadership roles following the merger.
The combined group would bring together major global formats such as Survivor, MasterChef, Big Brother, Peaky Blinders, The Traitors, and Race Across the World under one roof.
