Prime Video has announced that Ballard, the highly anticipated spinoff of the Bosch franchise, will premiere on Wednesday, July 9. All 10 episodes will be released at once, available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries.
Inspired by the bestselling novels of Michael Connelly, the new series centers on Detective Renée Ballard (played by Maggie Q), who leads LAPD’s newly formed and underfunded cold case division. Driven by empathy and fierce resolve, Ballard tackles some of the city’s most haunting unsolved crimes, including a string of serial killings and the case of a John Doe. But as she digs deeper, she begins to unravel a dangerous conspiracy within the LAPD itself. With the help of her volunteer team and retired detective Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), Ballard deals with personal trauma, work challenges, and life-threatening dangers to expose the truth.
The ensemble cast also features Courtney Taylor, John Carroll Lynch, Michael Mosley, Rebecca Field, Victoria Moroles, Amy Hill, Ricardo Chavira, Noah Bean, Alain Uy, and Hector Hugo.

Ballard is executive produced by Michael Connelly, Henrik Bastin, Michael Alaimo, Kendall Sherwood, Trish Hofmann, Jet Wilkinson, and Melissa Aouate. Jasmine Russ joins as co-executive producer for Fabel Entertainment, alongside Jamie Boscardin Martin, Trey Batchelor, and Theresa Snider for Hieronymus Pictures.
