Turkish Adaptation of K-Drama ‘Birth of a Beauty’ Underway

Kanal D and Dass Yapım are adapting the Korean drama Birth of a Beauty for Turkish television under the title Afet: Bambaşka Biri.

Written by Kemal Hamamcıoğlu, the series is currently in pre-production. Casting is underway, and a director has yet to be announced.

Afet Bambaşka Biri follows the story of a young woman who undergoes a dramatic physical transformation and suddenly becomes a stunning beauty. As her appearance changes, so does her life.

The original Korean series centers on Sa Geum Ran, an overweight woman betrayed by her husband. Together, they embark on a journey of revenge and self-discovery.
