India-based Abundantia has partnered with artificial intelligence video technology company InVideo to launch a new AI-focused film studio.
The collaboration includes an investment of approximately INR 100 crore (around $11 million), described as one of the largest structured commitments to artificial intelligence-driven filmmaking in India.
Over the next three years, the partners plan to develop and produce five artificial intelligence-powered films. The projects will be overseen by Abundantia’s artificial intelligence-focused division, aiON, while InVideo’s generative video technology will be integrated into development and production workflows.
InVideo operates in more than 190 countries, serves over 50 million users, and has collected upwards of $50 million in funding to date.
Abundantia is already working on two artificial intelligence-backed feature films, Chiranjeevi Hanuman and Jai Santoshi Mata: Sukh Sampatti Daata.
The partnership emphasizes that artificial intelligence is intended to enhance, not replace, creative talent in the filmmaking process.
