House of the Dragon has released the first trailer for its highly anticipated third season.
The new footage offers the first extensive look at the Dance of the Dragons, the brutal Targaryen civil war at the heart of the upcoming installment.
James Norton makes his first appearance as Lord Ormund Hightower in the explosive preview.
Tensions rise as Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) awaits Alicent Hightower’s (Olivia Cooke) surrender. However, Jacaerys warns his mother not to trust Alicent, while Daemon (Matt Smith) insists that this is the decisive moment.
Meanwhile, Alicent’s son Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) strongly opposes any potential truce.

Season 3 is set to premiere in June on HBO and HBO Max, though an exact release date has yet to be announced. The franchise continues to expand, with the new spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms airing its first-season finale on February 22 and already renewed for a second season.
The first two seasons of House of the Dragon are available to stream in the UK via Sky and NOW.
