Warner Bros. Discovery is expanding its global streaming market with HBO Max’s launch in 14 more Asia Pacific countries on Oct. 15.
The service will roll out in Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Macau, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, as well as in Myanmar, Nepal, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and Timor-Leste, marking another significant step in the platform’s global expansion.
The timing lines up with the debut of HBO’s new original series IT: Welcome to Derry on Oct. 27. Inspired by Stephen King’s classic, the show stars Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård. Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs developed the series, which carries the legacy of Muschietti’s IT films.

JB Perrette, CEO and president of global streaming and games at Warner Bros. Discovery, said:
“Following successful launches in Australia and Europe earlier this year, the global expansion of HBO Max continues to bring unparalleled entertainment to more fans across the world. By the end of the year, HBO Max will be available in more than 100 markets, with more to come in 2026, including major launches in Germany, Italy and the U.K.”
HBO Max will feature Warner Bros. Discovery’s library of hit content, including HBO dramas, franchises like Harry Potter and DC titles, along with shows from Cartoon Network and lifestyle channels such as Discovery, TLC, Food Network, ID, and HGTV.
Furthermore, new films like Superman, Sinners, and Final Destination: Bloodlines, along with major series such as House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, The Penguin, and The Pitt. Upcoming originals such as The Paper and MobLand, with reality hits Gold Rush, Deadliest Catch, and 90 Day Fiancé, along with beloved animated series Adventure Time, We Bare Bears, Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, and The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, will also be presented to the platform’s subscribers.
