About The Museum of Innocence
Adapted from Orhan Pamuk’s internationally acclaimed novel, The Museum of Innocence tells the turbulent love story of Kemal, a member of one of Istanbul’s wealthy families, and his distant, impoverished relative Füsun, beginning in the 1970s. Defying everyone around him for the sake of his feelings, Kemal begins collecting objects that bear traces of Füsun: her earrings, her hairpins, even the cigarette butts she leaves behind. Is love an accident that befalls us, a consuming obsession and a source of pain that drives us off our path or is it an innocent and profound happiness?
