The creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Vince Gilligan, is back with a brand-new series, Pluribus, and the first teaser is here.
Starring Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul), Pluribus follows “the world’s unhappiest person.” Seehorn plays Carol, a woman who feels miserable in a world where everyone else seems perfectly happy.
In the trailer, Carol is seen speaking with the President of the United States on live television as people around her treat her with strange curiosity. Set in a seemingly perfect world where everyone is happy, the story follows Carol as she struggles to understand her unhappiness and tries to save the world from its strange “happiness epidemic.”

Like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Pluribus takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, although this version of the city is portrayed as a surreal, disconnected reflection of reality. The writing team includes Gilligan’s longtime collaborators Gordon Smith, Alison Tatlock, Vera Blasi, Jenn Carroll, Jonny Gomez, and Ariel Levine, with Gilligan and Byron Howard directing.
Apple TV+ is already showing strong faith in the project, renewing Pluribus for a second season even before its premiere. It joins the platform’s acclaimed slate of genre series, including Severance, Foundation, For All Mankind, and Silo.
