Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for its new series adaptation of Pride & Prejudice.
The six-part drama is set to premiere in fall 2026, bringing Jane Austen’s beloved story back to the screen at a time when classic literary adaptations are experiencing a renewed wave of interest.
The series is written and executive produced by Dolly Alderton, with Euros Lyn directing. Emma Corrin stars as Elizabeth Bennet opposite Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy. The ensemble cast also includes Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet, Rufus Sewell as Mr. Bennet, Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins, Daryl McCormack as Mr. Bingley, and Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourgh.

Described as a “faithful and classic” adaptation of Austen’s novel, the series aims to preserve the spirit, wit, and social commentary of the original text while introducing the timeless romance to a new generation of viewers. Corrin also serves as an executive producer on the project, marking their first producing credit.
As audiences increasingly return to prestige period dramas and literary reimaginings, Netflix’s Pride & Prejudice positions itself as both a celebration of tradition and a fresh entry in the ongoing revival of classic storytelling.
