On MIPCOM 2025‘s third day, we got together with Can Okan, Inter Medya‘s Founder and CEO, to hear the company’s thoughts on this year’s edition. In the interview, Okan has highlighted their hit series Eshref Ruya and the new series, Halef, which already gained high ratings in Türkiye.
How was MIPCOM 2025 for Inter Medya?
MIPCOM 2025 was quite an intensive event for us. Besides our other content, representing this season’s two most important works, Eshref Ruya and Halef, added to the excitement at our booth. We also organized an Eshref Ruya event here and brought a replica of Eshref’s car, named “Fıstık”. Our lead actors, Çağatay Ulusoy and Demet Özdemir, arriving at our event in this car, created a big buzz in the streets of Cannes. It was a very lively week with many meetings, and we believe this will be reflected in our sales.

Eshref Ruya continues with its second season, while Halef stands out as your new series. How were these two series received at MIPCOM 2025? What are the unique selling points you can share about the series?
As you know, Eshref Ruya is airing simultaneously with the TV broadcast on Prime Video in MENA. It is also broadcast on NBC MENA and Shahid 45 days after the broadcast date. Furthermore, it is broadcast simultaneously in Türkiye on the IVI platform in Russia. We also have many contracts currently in the signing stage and progressing with many countries.
Halef, despite being a very new series, also received high ratings in Türkiye; we believe it is a very good piece of content. Even though MIPCOM 2025 was the series’s first market, we have started receiving offers from many countries around the world for it.
