Spanish author Mercedes Ron’s bestselling Dímelo trilogy makes its long-awaited screen debut with Dímelo Bajito, one of Prime Video’s most talked-about young adult projects. Built around intense family drama and the characters’ emotional and sexual awakening, the film is part of Ron’s major overall deal with the platform, which includes adaptations of ten of her novels.
- Fernando Lindez: I think this story has many layers, and it’s not a typical one. It’s deep in a lot of ways. Emotionally, I believe it will touch a lot of hearts and resonate with many. Viewers will truly empathize with the characters.
- Diego Vidales: The book was incredibly helpful for us to step into the characters, understand their emotions, and find their motivation.
Dímelo Bajito stars Fernando Lindez as Thiago Di Bianco, the troubled older brother carrying the weight of a dark past, alongside Diego Vidales as Taylor Di Bianco, his kind and warm-hearted younger sibling. Lindez, already a fan favorite among young adult audiences thanks to his previous role in Elite, continues to draw global attention, most recently after appearing on the cover of VMAN, which quickly made waves on social media.
We sat down with the two talented young actors to talk about meeting the expectations of fans of a beloved book, the complex dynamics between their characters, and what went on behind the scenes.
Here’s what the stars of Dímelo Bajito had to say.
How did you approach adapting such a popular story by Mercedes Ron for the screen?
Diego Vidales: The book was incredibly helpful for us to step into the characters, understand their emotions, and find their motivation. We had about a month of rehearsals to build the characters and start planning the shoot. All of that absolutely helped a lot.
Can you tell us more about your characters and the relationship dynamics we’ll see in the story?
Diego Vidales: I play Taylor Di Bianco. He’s sweet, charming, and genuinely a good kid. He’s the one trying to pull his family forward, away from the dark and traumatic situations of the past.
Fernando Lindez: I play Thiago Di Bianco, the older brother. He’s someone who can’t exactly let go of a traumatic experience from his youth. He’s carrying a lot of pain. He’s not a bad person; he just carries a lot of frustration and anger inside him.

Fernando Lindez: I think this story has many layers, and it’s not a typical one. It’s deep in a lot of ways. Emotionally, I believe it will touch a lot of hearts and resonate with many. Viewers will truly empathize with the characters.
What do you think about the fans? Mercedes Ron’s readers have a very strong emotional connection to her characters. Did you feel any kind of pressure to meet their expectations?
Fernando Lindez: No, I don’t think so. We’re very happy with the work we did while filming last year. From the very beginning, the fans showed us a lot of love. Our goal is to give that love back by telling a really good story.
Did you know each other before the film? You truly feel like brothers on the movie.
Fernando Lindez: No, we met for the first time on this movie, but we became close very quickly. I would be very happy if that warmth comes through on screen.

Diego Vidales: The book was incredibly helpful for us to step into the characters, understand their emotions, and find their motivation.
What was it like working together on set?
Fernando Lindez: It was amazing, really amazing. We had such a great time. We met through this project. I actually met Alicia during the auditions as well. We have great chemistry and a really good relationship.

What do you hope audiences feel or take away after watching the movie?
Fernando Lindez: I think this story has many layers, and it’s not a typical one. It’s deep in a lot of ways. Emotionally, I believe it will touch a lot of hearts and resonate with many. Viewers will truly empathize with the characters.
